Lawn Care
Q: My lawn is tarnished with the presence of this ugly brown patch, what should I do?
A: The brown patch is usually caused by the animal urine for eg dogs or cats.
Solutions:
1. Water the area where your dog or cat pees on to dilute the urine immediately to prevent the brown patch from emergence.
2. If the brown patch has made an appearance, it could still be salvaged subject to severity.
For less severe case, the green leaves will grow back under daily adequate watering.
For serious case, the dark patch has to be replaced.
3) Train your pets to relieve themselves on specific area of your garden.

A Simple Guide to Calathea Care
Calathea plants are known for their vibrant leaves and easy care. Here’s a quick guide to help you keep your Calathea happy:
1. Light: Give them indirect sunlight, avoiding direct sun.
2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil is dry.
3. Soil: Use well-draining, organic soil.
4. Fertilization: Feed with diluted liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season.
5. Pruning: Trim yellow or damaged leaves regularly and wipe off dust with a damp cloth (I know this is hard to do but do your best when you are free).
6. Potting: Repot every 1-2 years in a slightly larger pot with fresh soil.
7. Pest Control: Watch for pests, and treat with neem oil or organic pest control products if needed.
With these simple tips, your Calathea can thrive and bring beauty to your home.
